Domestic Services

BEX delivers to more than 1200 towns and cities in South Africa. Delivery is achieved within 12 to 96 hours depending on the service you select and the distance from each strategic hub.

Sameday

A rapid door-to-door service, where collection and delivery takes place on the same day to certain major centres. Sameday deliveries to regional and remote areas are available on request. Due to the special trip required, this will be quoted separately.

Daybreak

A special service for shipments requiring delivery before 09h00 the next working day to certain major centres in South Africa. Delivery to regional or remote areas may take an additional 24 - 48 hours.

Overnight

A speedy, secure and reliable overnight courier service for shipments requiring delivery before 11h00 the next working day, to certain major centres in South Africa. Delivery to regional or remote areas may take an additional 24 - 48 hours.

Normal Cargo

This service is designed for shipments that may not require the same level of urgency as the express products. Delivery is made within 24-48 hours, depending on the origin and destination, to certain major centres in South Africa. Delivery to regional or remote areas may take an additional 24 - 48 hours.

Budget Cargo

This safe, secure and reliable service is for larger, non-urgent shipments. Deliveries vary between 24 - 72 hours, depending on the origin and destination. Delivery to regional or remote areas may take an additional 24 - 48 hours.

Dedicated Truck Loads

A special service for clients who need to move a large amount of goods that require a dedicated vehicle. BEX provides the vehicle and the driver who will load, transport and deliver the goods to their final destination. Contact BEX for more details regarding this service.

Value Added Services

BEX offers additional value added service options to meet our customers varied requirements.

  • Saturday Services
  • BEX is able to collect and/or deliver shipments on a Saturday. A surcharge will apply for collection and delivery on a Saturday between 08h00 and 12h00. The surcharge will also apply for attempted deliveries.This service is available to certain major centres in South africa serviced by scheduled airlines. Saturday delivery to regional or remote areas is available on request and is quoted separately. (Saturday service is not available to Normal and Budget cargo services).

  • Special Trip
  • A BEX driver is on standby 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to undertake that special journey e.g. A tender submission or VAT return. Special trip quotations will be quoted based on round-trip kilometres, total hours and toll fees.

  • After Hours Service
  • A surcharge will apply for collection or delivery between the following times. 18h00 - 08h00 (monday to Saturday) 12h00 Saturday - 08h00 Monday. After hours service is not applicable to Normal Cargo and Budget Cargo services.

Document Service

Our International Document Service offers a door-to-door service for time-sensitive documents with no commercial value. Documents are defined as unbound printed paper i.e. letters, reports, memos, proposals, tenders, plans, banking or shipping documents or similar paper based documentation up to 5kg’s in weight.

Non-Document Service

Our International non-document service offers a door-to-door service for time sensitive non-document requirements. Non-documents are defined as anything other than documents e.g. Documents containing photographs, document shipments exceeding 5kg’s, electronic equipment, x-rays, books, advertising material, samples, videos, spares and other non-document commodities.

Express Road

This is an express road service for urgent consignments for delivery to major centres in Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho and Swaziland (BNLS). This is a 24 – 48 hour service depending on the destination.

Road Freight

This is a normal road freight service for delivery to major centres in Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho and Swaziland (BNLS). This service is competitively priced and delivery is made within 48 – 72 hours depending on the destination.

Airfreight

This service is available on a door-to-door or door-to-terminal basis for heavier, more bulky consignments that are not particularly time sensitive, either delivery duty unpaid (DDU) or delivery duty paid (DDP) (at country of origin). Delivery times are dependent on the destination country and on customs clearance at the destination country. Each consignment is quoted separately according to the shipment size, weight, urgency and the delivery destination.

Imports

Through our very own customs facility at O.R Tambo International Airport, BEX is ideally positioned to work closely with South African Customs so as to offer you a reliable, smooth and effective import option for your goods.

Special Consignments

This service applies to extremely urgent consignments that require specialised handling and/or direct routing to the country of destination.

Restricted/Dangerous Goods

BEX can arrange the shipment of goods of a restricted / hazardous nature. Any consignment that falls into this category for carriage by air must conform to the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and be packaged accordingly. Due to the specialised nature of these consignments, all dangerous goods must be specified and they must be pre-arranged with BEX.

Mail sent in consolidation overseas and then distributed into the relevant local postal system.
